General bra-fitting tips

The bra underband should be snug, but not too tight around the body.  If it cuts or digs in, the bra size is too small.  Avoid using a bra extender to lengthen the underband as this alters the whole structure of the bra, making it ill-fitting.  The underband should be level around your body.  If it rides up at the back, the size may be too large, the fastenings may be hooked too loosely, or the straps may be adjusted too tightly.

The cup should fully contain the breast.  Let your bust fall naturally into the cups - it may help to lean forward to do this - so that the cup is filled and your nipple lies in the centre of the cup.  Bulges over the cup or underarm indicate that the cup is too small or the wrong shape.  If there is excess fabric and the cup is wrinkled and loose, the cup size is too big.  If the edges of the cup gape, particularly under - arm, the cup shape may be wrong for you.

The shoulder straps should be adjusted to the proper length to suit your shape, and should support comfortably without pressure or cutting in.  Breast weight should not be supported by the body of the bra, and not solely by the straps.

Renew your bras regularly, before any signs of deterioration in fabric or elasticity occur.

Bear in mind, it is unlikely that any one style will look right under your clothes, or be suitable for every occasion.  You may need at least a small selection for daywear, active sports or special occasions, to achieve overall comfort.

Every woman has a different shape, and some bra styles tend to suit specific shapes better than others.   With our guidance, you will soon be able to find out which styles suit you best, and if you have a particular favourite, we can suggest styles that are similar.

How to Measure

A: BAND SIZE (underbust measurement):  Place a tape measure directly under the bust - you may find it easier to get a friend or partner to help you.  Make sure the tape is level around your body and pull so it is really snug, but not tight.  Make a note of the measurement in inches.  If the measurement is an odd number add 5 inches.  If it is an even number add 4 inches. Please note half inches should be rounded up. This is your bra size.  Eg. If you measure 32 inches add 4 inches: 32 + 4 = 36"

B: BUST SIZE (breast volume): We cater for all cup sizes.  It is best to visually judge this measurement without a tape measure, by assessing the fit of the bra cup size you usually wear.  Put the bra on and check with the above fittings tips to decide whether the cup is the right size or not.  If you find this difficult.  Measure around the fullest part of your breasts over the nipples.  This is your bust size.

TO FIND YOUR BRA SIZE (Subtract your band measurement (A) from your bust measurement (B).  This is your cup size.
Eg.  If your B measurement comes to 38 subtract your A measurement 36. This gives you 2" difference.  Therefore your size is 36B

See the chart below to find your cup size:
